Little Leaf Farms is a family owned lettuce farm in Denvens, Massechusetts.
They produce lettuce grown hydroponically in a 10 acre glasshouse, using captured and recycled water. This allows the farm to produce fresh leafy greens out of season, over the winter, with suplementary lighting and heating and all year through.
By producing fresh local produce they are cutting out the food miles of transporting from across the country. This improves shelf life of the fresh veg that is a big factor for consumers and returants in the locality.
